Course Content
During this course students will learn to create a realistic sequence, create an arranged sequence and produce a multi track recording, as well as learning studio techniques both past and present.
Skills gained from taking this course
Communication skills, improving own learning and performance, problem solving and working with others.
Entry Requirements (all A2 subjects carry a minimum requirement of a D-grade AS level)
The school offer for entry is 5 GCSEs at B Grade and above with English Language or Literature and Mathematics at A* - C grade.
Pupils must gain a grade C in their GCSE music or music technology.
Entry Suggestions
It will be useful and helpful to have a basic knowledge of certain aspects of musical theory. There is a maximum number of 9 allowed onto the course so previous knowledge and understanding will be considered if more pupils apply.
If you are made an offer and meet the required grade, you will be expected to complete the following before your first lesson in September:
Listen to a wide variety of popular music from 1900 to the present day.
