Extra Curricular, Enrichment and Engagement Provision and Physical Activity
The school boasts a plethora of Performing Arts and sporting extra curricular activities as well as Young Enterprise, Duke of Edinburgh's Award and V volunteering opportunities and a host of clubs and societies. Students in Year 12 also enhance their leadership and organisational skills through the enrichment programme where they all organise activities for younger students. Westminster Volunteer Bureau does superb work finding our students appropriate volunteering opportunities and we ensure that we widely publicise other opportunities, such as the Encompass Programme, which gives students amazing opportunities out of school. |

Peter Tatchell speaking at St Marylebone |
We also hope that all of our students will engage with the world around them and our Monday morning speaker and workshop programme aims to excite and develop thinking which is connected with contemporary issues and debates. This year speakers include the first Muslim peer, Lord Ahmed and human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell as well as someone who spent twenty-five years wrongly accused on death row and someone who is living with HIV. Year 12 also have a series of workshops which consider the choices that can be made about leading a healthy lifestyle. For 2009 we are particularly excited about our new links with Raleigh International which will give all students the opportunity to connect with development issues and spend three weeks in India in the summer of 2010.
As well as leaving Marylebone as well educated, intellectual and considerate citizens we hope to ensure that pupils lead an active and healthy lifestyle. As part of being a Healthy School we offer all students regular opportunities for physical exercise and the PE department run an exciting range of opportunities for both team and individual players.
