Course Content
A-Level Applied Business combines a strong theoretical element with an examination of real business practice and the economic environment.
Business activity affects all students in their everyday lives and Applied Business will equip them with knowledge and understanding of the major issues which face businesses today, such as globalisation, fair trade, and rising oil prices. They will also learn more about what it is like to work in business and develop practical skills that will prove to be very important later in life, such as applying for jobs and tackling interviews.
Applied Business will help to develop communication skills through class discussion, role-plays and putting together presentations. It will also expand students' ICT skills and yield an understanding of the importance of enterprise and research.
Students will have the opportunity to visit and investigate real businesses.
